Beer Can fishing hat

While looking for hat patterns I came across a Beer Can hat that was started in the 70's.  I thought it would be cute to make and see how it turned out. It was more as a joke to make my husband wear it when we go fishing in Wisconsin in May.  The finshed product was so silly that you can't help but want to wear one while drinking beer and fishing :)

I used the taller Keystone cans on the left and regualr sized cans were used on the right.  (my sister did that one).

Sock Monkey Hat

I made my son pose below with the hat and of course like a regular 6yr old boy he didn't want too.  This was the best photo he would give me LOL.

I made this sock monkey hat for my cousin's little boy.  I was actually shocked that it eneded up looking like the real sock monkey :)

Hello Kitty Hat

I found this site that hat pretty easy patterns for crocheted hats.  I thought I would give it a whirl and see what happened.  Hello Kitty was my first try and actually turned out ok.  My daughter just loved it of course since it was Hello Kitty but she also loved that Mommy made her hat.

Crocheted Baby Afghan

I have crocheted a baby blanket before but thought I would take the next step and follow a pattern.  This blanket was a pretty simple stitch.  I then crocheted the train parts and then sewed them on.  I started with the caboose, which after looking at it done I should have started with the engine to get them angled better.  Thats the beauty of learning as you go I guess LOL.

Knitted Stocking

My first ever finshed knitting project!!  I found this great pattern for Christmas stockings so I thought I would give it a try.  It actually turned out great and the kids loved that Mommy made them their stockings that they can use every year.
